Taking Aligned Action

The drive of the action matters in how it feels…

When we know what we want to have, and we are taking action from the place of being the person we want to achieve that goal with curiosity and play, there can be a lightness that comes from that, that makes action something that energises us, and expands our world.

Now, I’m not saying that the grind mentality does not achieve goals – it does!  It’s just not what I’m here for.

Early in my running, in the heyday of David Goggins, I remember listening to him and going ‘Wow’ that’s amazing…but, it sounded like such a struggle, I just didn’t want to be hard – it didn’t sound fun – and quite frankly I like to feel joyous.

At the same time, I was learning about spirituality and abundance, and I thought that abundance seemed like a much more enjoyable approach.

They both seemed to have the same outcome – achieving goals.

They just had a very different journey!

So when I speak of doing, I do so from a place of joy, intentionality, purpose, alignment – it might all sound a bit woo-woo, but it works, so why not?!

That’s not to say that from this approach we don’t put in the work – holy sh*t do we put in the work!!

It just feels different, good, powerful, empowered, and joyful (even in the moments when I want to throw up from pushing some uphill intervals!!), because it is on purpose and aligned and I’m choosing to do it from a place of abundance and acceptance.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Hi I'm Tanya!

On the trails, I’m an established and respected ultra-distance runner with a passion as big as the challenges I face head (and heels) on. Off the trails, I’m a 40-something mum and self-professed scaredy cat on a mission to show people that you can fear the ‘never seen before’ – and you can conquer it, too.

I’m not ‘just another’ runner, I’m also known as an athlete, storyteller and coach.
